actually he wasnt. i shud kno. his ppl (if u mean the ppl he dictated for years) aka "his followers" dominated a great deal of Baghdad. As followers, of course they dint sentence him. Did you ever consider that perhaps since a greateer force was behind them compelling the gov't to hang him, the ppl of Baghdad just gave in? common sense.
